This is a pretty well made jewelry box. Like many people, I find it ridiculous to spend more than $20 to $30 on a small jewelry box; I don't need anything extraordinary. Just treat it well and it will last you forever. Has a slightly odd smell out of the box, probably due to the glue they used to apply the velvet cover. Just let it air out for a day or so before putting your stuff in. If you're a guy like me with a fairly modest jewelry collection, this will easily fit most or all of your items. The only complaint you can expect from such a cheap box is "security". The lock is not a real lock, just a deadbolt with a two-pronged "key" to lock and open the lid, which as you can imagine offers no security. If you have valuables, don't buy them expecting them to be safe. Again, you really should only keep expensive items in a safe, as no jewelry box is quite as secure. I was distracted. However, you can't beat the price, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap container for their jewellery.
