Review on ⚒️ 2564 BLMPU DST Metal Centerset Lavatory Faucet by Faucet by Will Kern

Imperfect design and inaccurate description

I bought two of these Delta faucets and hired a plumber to install them. If I wasn't paying the plumber $125 an hour I would go out and buy another one. But now they are here and they seem to be working fine. Here are my reactions: 1. Revain's description was wrong. It describes this device as having a 'pop up drain' but that's not what most people think, i.e. a drain in the sink with a button or something that has to be pressed to open the drain to open and click on the sewer to close it. This device has a traditional lever bar drain that you push up and down. (Bars can break over time, like they did on ours, and when they do, you'll have to remove the old drain and redo it.) Had I known about this, I wouldn't have bought it. I called Delta, and what most people think of us is what Delta calls "push pop." The drain bar design is imperfect. It has a notch in the faucet that the drain rod needs to be inserted into so it can be pushed all the way in, but it almost never aligns with the notch when the rod is pushed so you have to play with it and wiggle it to get it the notch. the stem handle into the recess for the notch on the valve itself. Very annoying with a new faucet. If I had known that, I would not have bought it.3. I got the chrome but would have gotten the polished nickel had I known how watermarks and fingerprints appear on the chrome faucet. No Deal Breaker.4. They say it's easy to install but I'm glad the plumber did it because it was a chore to remove the old faucets where the nuts were frozen and the plumber ended up sawing them off and in one bathroom the wall mounted sink removed so that he could get it to saw his mother. So if you have an old house like ours and your faucets have been in use for a long time, check out how easy it is to remove the old faucets before you decide to do it yourself and be prepared for some removal problems, if the old faucet doesn't work. easily solve. With the old faucet removed, installing the Delta was fairly easy, but the supply line was too long and the plumber had to cut it. In your case, you can loop the supply line, but we couldn't because we had wall-mounted sinks with no base or cabinet to hide the hinges.
