Okay, it's hard. The second time it broke when I took it to the forest. The ratchet is far enough from the mounting plate that when it's hanging 30 feet in the air from a tree, you'll have trouble keeping both ends in their slots long enough to engage the ratchet. Although the whole block is heavy enough to assemble while waiting for the monster to arrive, the plastic piece your camera is attached to is fragile by comparison (and broken on my device). Cannot recommend due to quick failure and my desire to do less bodybuilding while hunting.
