does the job. for accessories

Works well for the money. I had to modify mine by adding some nylon washers at the pivot points because it was too loose and couldn't stay straight. It also works well for the aspiring DIY photographer.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • old

Sturdy but heavy for camera and photography

You get what you pay for. The arm works as advertised but is very heavy. I use it for hunting on public land so I have to pack it every trip in and out of the woods. If you want to place this in a tree and leave it there, this might be the camera mount for you.

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

I would spend my money on something better.

I wish the strap was longer than what came with the unit. When you fully extend the camera arm, it's also very flimsy. The washer that is on the main block to keep it quiet wears out very quickly and breaks when you try to tighten the lever to keep it from moving. Difficult to use on a tree especially when filming yourself

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • For seniors

Dirty main camera mount honest review

Easy install right out of the box but I just put it up against a tree and tried to use it and as soon as I went to put the camera on the mount The Mother holding camera mount broke off. This product is very cheaply made, if you are serious about selfie I wouldn't recommend this particularly dirty camera tripod even for a beginner. Pay the extra money and get one that works better than this one.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • No paint needed

Heavy yet fragile.

Okay, it's hard. The second time it broke when I took it to the forest. The ratchet is far enough from the mounting plate that when it's hanging 30 feet in the air from a tree, you'll have trouble keeping both ends in their slots long enough to engage the ratchet. Although the whole block is heavy enough to assemble while waiting for the monster to arrive, the plastic piece your camera is attached to is fragile by comparison (and broken on my device). Cannot recommend due to quick failure and…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

A piece of junk is good for accessories

I haven't used this hand yet because it was either poorly designed or assembled. The hand closest to the tree twists and rubs and sways from side to side. On closer inspection, Muddy only used 1 plastic washer between the bracket and the bracket when there should have been 2. Also, the end of the bracket physically hits the inside of the bracket because the mounting holes weren't drilled properly. Finally, Muddy's support service is free. You can't talk to a real person. I'll end up changing it

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time

DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY

Put simply. This camera mount is pure junk and I would never trust a camera to be mounted on it. Right out of the box I had to tighten every single bolt and screw that was used on it. The hooks on the ratchet strap are not bent enough to keep the shackle hooked into the wood. They tend to stretch when tightened. hand is a joke. Difficult to put into words, but the head slides over a plastic-coated bar that also acts as your 360-degree mount. However, when you rotate your head 360 degrees, the…

  • Good product for the price
