Review on πŸ”§ Storage Holder for Drills - Wall Control by Chad Carter

Fantastic solution, well designed and very reliable

The three tools I use most often are an impact wrench, a drill and a flashlight. After years of moving house to house in the store, trying to make them easily accessible but not in the way. I never found the perfect place. I was building an extension for my breadboard back then (from 5ft to 8ft) and came across this post in the suggestions. I decided to give it a try and I'm very happy with the results. Most of the single tool stands I've found hang askew and usually take up a lot of space for a single tool. This rack holds three tools in a space I would normally only fit two. And it has storage space at the top for extra batteries. With hanging tools, it takes up about 1/3 of a 16" x 32" slotted board (you need a slotted board, not just a bulletin board, or you'll need to route the slots into the bulletin board). I use steel boards with pins and slots so that's not a problem for me, but that's something to be aware of before you buy. It has two rails that fit the slots very securely and the stand hooks onto the top rail and slides down the bottom rail. It's very reliable, but it can be easily removed. Most pistol grip battery powered tools should fit if the battery is attached to the bottom of the pistol grip (like most). There is a ledge at the front of the rack to prevent tools from sliding forward, as well as three corner compartments at the top for storing extra batteries. My only complaint is that it would have been nice if these compartments were fully enclosed so you could store bits inside. Unfortunately, they make them out of stamped steel bent into shape so this most likely won't happen. If you want your cordless drills, screwdrivers, etc. to hang from a slotted board, this is the best and most effective solution I know of.

Pros
  • Affordable wall mounted slat mount drill stand that allows you to remove anything with an edge and easily attach it e.g. B. a tool box on wheels.
Cons
  • Slightly dented
