I am allergic to fish. Any product that can help me get the job done without having to come into contact with my fish is worth its weight in gold. (pun) It's a $2 water change cartridge. I've tried three of these (expensive) and none of them are as fast or as effective as this one. I have a 5 gallon tank that sits on a piano and the height is perfect for the siphon. I didn't have to cut the cord or anything, it rolls perfectly into a special white bucket. I was also afraid it would run out too quickly and endanger my little Clyde but NO! It's a dirty little thing - it picks up all the junk and sucks out the water at a good pace. After I'm done, I pour the dirty water over the grass, hose it down a little, and pump it out. again to remove dirt before allowing to air dry for one minute. Everything is so easy. Not sure why I couldn't upload the previously taken product photo of the bucket, but I did upload one of my tanks for reference. This product saves me, thank you.
