I bought this heater to replace the one I have installed in my basement. It's literally ancient. This is a huge update. I need to have one here to turn on when it gets really cold so my pipes don't freeze. I love that I can just control it with the remote instead of going to the basement. I can just go straight to the top of the stairs where I hung the remote control. It has a 12 hour timer so I can set it to 12 hours if that's all it takes. It can be directed in specific directions manually, but the fan heats the entire room evenly. I feel safe using it as it also has built in overheat protection. My electrician came and installed it as it replaces what they already had. It is made of high-strength steel. And definitely a more modern and ideal replacement. It heats up quickly with a large basement, which is what we tried to make sure everything was working properly. Excellent unit price.
