Patience Patience Patience

Driving with leather side shield sunglasses (Sherpa style) or wraparound sunglasses is better than regular sunglasses as the sunlight cannot enter the sides where it enters the eyes can be reflected back. You can use wraparound bifocals, but I hate wraparound sunglasses and use Sherpa sunglasses instead. Even though I wear contact lenses, I still need readers to see things within a foot and a half. That's why I generally use these pins for lenses. I understand the reason behind the many one star reviews, because the bottom line is you can't just put them on and go your own way. You have to be patient and take great care to tighten them evenly and without air bubbles. First clean your sunglass lenses thoroughly. I used isopropyl alcohol because it removes grease better, but I wipe them dry and clean right away. I then put on a cotton lab glove and grabbed the chopsticks with tweezers to avoid leaving fingerprints. For the first time I put a few drops of water on the table and put a stick on it. I then placed it on the inside of the sunglasses, positioning it correctly and squeezing firmly with my gloved hand to prevent it from slipping out of position. When I encountered an air bubble, I would push it against the rim by twisting my thumb, then move my thumb and push it against the outer rim again and again as needed. Then I did the same with the second stick. Then I left the sunglasses alone all day.
