At first I was afraid that these clasps cost less than $20 and there were 1000 sets in the pack. After all, there are other online sellers that sell 1/3 the number of shots for about the same price. The price suggested cheap quality, so it was definitely a leap of faith. How wrong I was It was great quality at a very affordable price. So here's what I love about these shots: 1) the color choices are nice and the colors are vibrant 2) the plastic is thick enough, not transparent but solid 3) they're easy to use. I also liked that the seller took care of the packaging. Each flower was packaged in a resealable plastic bag. Inside each bag for each color were three smaller bags of parts required for each set of fasteners: a bag of caps with prongs on each side, a bag of female snaps, and a bag of male snaps. This helped me quickly find the parts I needed instead of messing around with a bunch of parts. Very well organized from the start! It came with several small zippered storage bags that could be used after opening the inner pockets. That was the only thing I didn't like as the pouches are very thin and will probably tear sooner or later. I have thicker jewelry pouches that I keep them in. Assembling the rig was easy with the tool kit provided. 1) Pierce the fabric on one side; 2) put the cap with the pin into the through hole; 3) place the female (or male) part on the opposite side of the fabric; 4) Insert the set into the tool with the cap side toward the black washer and the pin up in the clear rubber part of the tool - the rubber protects the plastic as you squeeze the tool while the thin metal in the center of this part flexes The pliers squeeze the prong together so the two pieces stay together. Another amazing thing about these bars is that I was able to easily thread them through four layers of cotton and had no loosening issues. The lids are tight and secure. There was enough tine left before squeezing it in so I could connect 5 or more layers. When you press down on the tool to join the two pieces together, press as hard as you can before releasing. If you try to push again, the tool may damage the latch. The pin on the inverted lid will naturally fit into the center hole of the clear rubber piece when you first squeeze the tool and this will help center the lid. However, once compressed, the pin can no longer act as a guide to center the cap in the center of the seal, and any additional pressure can damage the cap. Express it well once and then you don't have to worry anymore.
