Perfect. We'll see how long it lasts, but it was just what I needed to cover the wire hole on the tailgate of my '98 Jeep TJ Wrangler after removing the spare tire mount and third brake light. 1/2 inch in case anyone is wondering. I needed a solid end cap with no through hole, and I wanted something made out of soft rubber rather than hard plastic. I don't think anything thick would fit in, but I knew a firewall sized fork would be ideal.
