Surely this plastic handle is as easy as they say to cut through with a basic hacksaw, let alone a grinder or similar. I can't imagine that this anti-theft device wouldn't stop a thief, but it would require a better tool and more noise than if the generator was stock. tool for it than for a standard screw. but since it can be easily unscrewed I think a HIGH STRENGTH / PERMANENT THREADED MOUNT SHOULD. Some high strength red Loctite or whatever brand you prefer. Apply it to the bolts when attaching and stealing your generator. This would mean cutting metal, which in turn would have to be much more difficult (time, tools, noise) than cutting plastic. A regular bike lock and a stout 1/2 inch chain fit in easily.
