a good product! take your time, take your time

5 stars overall, but "easy to install" is relative. I spent a few hours on this and I only did a running stitch. I chose not to do the baseball stitch because of the extra time and if one of those strings snapped I would probably have a much bigger problem. I took my time. Check every inch of the finished stitches and tighten. Twist and pull the skin to position it (just above the old stitch) and keep the tension on the stitch you just made. Also pull and massage the cover around the spokes to avoid pockets. I've mostly succeeded, but it's not "tight" over the spokes. I don't know if there are bigger needles. The rope (braided nylon cord) that comes with the kit works. I didn't drill any holes in the lid, I just stuck another needle through the next few holes and wiggled that. I broke a pin (someone said they only break when bent, I assure you you can apply enough force to the pin to collapse the eyelet) so just open the holes a bit. Can't tell if it's real leather or not, someone said it wasn't. This is how it looks and smells. I'm curious how it holds up, but the truck spends 95% of its time in the garage, so I'm not too worried. I have the big one for '98-03' F-150. The wheel size is 15.5" (diameter) x 3.75" (grip circumference) and I'm sure other case sizes won't fit well I'm very happy with it!
