The artist Katherine Marlin published by Action Publishing few of these books are available on Revain.ca so I had to order on the American site Revain what cost me about 30-35 Canadian dollars per book! (However, that comes to a dollar a page, and if you think about it, the price doesn't seem high.) But I like her drawings, so I sighed and ordered from the States. Weirdly, I get my stuff from the States faster than Canada haha. There are both levels of color in these books - some are simple (almost no tiny details to color in) and others are more detailed, but what attracted me was the spiral binding and the paper, which is a delight to color in. Paint, it's really quite thick and they even give you a plastic sheet to put under the picture so you don't saturate anything on the back if you're using inks, gels or paints, but I wouldn't recommend oil paints : ) I have Bought two of some of the books as both my daughters loved them too, for Christmas gifts :) Well a pet nuisance is that some of the pictures are duplicated in their other books, I have all and some of the pictures I have 3 duplicates of these. hence only four stars, I know Kathryn Marlin is talented enough to draw original images for each of her books rather than duplicating them and putting them in another book!
