Some other models only offer free upgrades for the first year. With this device, I could read any sensor, activate it, and then write its identification information into my car's ECU. I followed the relearn instructions displayed on the TS601 and the TPMS light went off. The device is durable and comes in a hard case. The instructions are clear and you can find more tutorial videos online (this place is on Tube). In general, I like the device, I do not regret the purchase. I now have another specialized tool in my toolbox.
