Standard vacuum sealing method

These packages are great! I've been following the sous vide lifestyle for a while because I'm a glutton and constantly crave perfect meat, and these pouches are by far the best way to hermetically seal food. I say this as someone who has used zippers + water extrusion and owns a vacuum sealer. The pump pumps all the air out of the bag (the smaller bags take about 20 squeezes, the medium ones about 30, effortless pumping) creating a perfect airtight seal. The pouches are strong and will easily withstand immersion in a high temperature water bath for long cooking times. Also, they are reusable and you can simply throw them in the dishwasher to clean them after use. Light lemon juice. When I first started working with sous vide I used zippers and the water displacement method, but it was always a bit finicky (mostly I ended up with air bubbles later drifting to the surface of the cook and causing my bag). stay afloat); and if you are like me you will try to do the extrusion method in a preheated water bath and you will burn your fingers. Also, you create tons of waste unless you wash and reuse the same zippers (hey, I would because they're cheap and zippers aren't cheap). doing that a lot and ended up buying a Food Saver FM 2000. While the FM2000 is a great way to vacuum food, it's honestly just a hassle. It's big/takes up too much counter space so I have to keep it away and I'm uncomfortable pulling it out every time I want sous vide. Not to mention rolls cut into sheets require you to cut to length, seal one side and then use the other side to vacuum pack. It takes a lot of effort and I'm lazy. With all that said, I recommend buying this kit if you're looking to move away from water-displacing zippers. This is easier and creates a better vacuum seal. This is my new approach.
