I really like this stand, it's heavy, very solid base and bracket. But the clamp part is a whole different story, it's plastic, it seemed to hold my iPad well at first, but when I touched the interface my device fell out of the clamp. This happened 3 times within the first hour. So I wrapped it up again and threw it around the corner to Whole Foods. It was the easiest return ever! Not sure if this particular device was defective (it had a large gray spot on the back of the clip when I opened the box). But the whole transaction and return went without any problems!
