Brass - they are not intended for infants and children with sensitive skin.
They are listed as safe for sensitive skin and are marketed for children. However, the material is brass which is not safe for those with metal sensitivities or allergies. Unfortunately I didn't realize this until after I received the earrings and examined the material listed in the Details section and they didn't appear to be of great quality. I missed the return window but hopefully this will help those looking to buy for their child to make an informed choice.
- It's super cute in my 4 year old daughter's ear. They are not very big, which is what we need for them.
- Earrings can be relatively expensive compared to other jewelry options for children.
