Comfort, stretch and thickness are all what I expected. I'm a big guy. 6'3 320 and I workout regularly. This works great for me. It does not work great for friends of mine that are average strength and hand size. If you don't have larger hands and the strength to control it purchase a smaller diameter rope. Don't purchase off of ego. If you can't control it with correct form your just going to injure yourself or never use it.
