Nice Antenna for AV Accessories

This is a pretty well built antenna. It seems a bit thin so has a pretty narrow bandwidth. And it seems he can be a little temperamental in placement. Best placed in the middle of a large area, e.g. B. in the middle of the top of the cab. Be sure to check the SWR with an SWR meter or antenna analyzer in an open area. I built this antenna into a metal structure, cut it and tuned it with an antenna analyzer. Then he drove the car outside and the SWR switched off. Luckily it was long so I could trim and tune again. But the table that came with the antenna seems a little off, so cut it out and adjust it to your specific installation location. I was able to center the band at 1:1 SWR with 1.5:1 band edges, so this is clearly acceptable as a CB antenna. The only negative is that during transport the antenna was taken and folded. in a box that is too short. This of course bent the steel whip and it took me about half an hour to straighten the spring steel.
