Great product for an irrigation pump IF you set it up correctly. I replaced the Square D, which had become boring after 15 years. I thought it was just a newer model, and it is, but the feature that pissed me off so much was the safety feature. You know you've got it when it has a stainless steel lever. The model also bears the designation M4. You can buy a brand new switch with no security function. The safety feature will shut off the pump completely if the pressure drops 10psi below the set limit. So here is the problem with my irrigation system. When an area opens, especially with a large number of sprinkler heads, the expected instantaneous pressure drop occurs. Without a security feature, this is not a problem. But with features it turned off when switching zones. There is no way to bypass the safety feature and it is fixed at 10psi below the limit. I'll spare you hours of what I've tried. In fact, I went ahead and ordered the not sure. But I was determined to see if I could get the backup to work. Here's what worked. Adjust the expansion tank pressure to 5 psi below the cut-out pressure. I like.
