Review on 🔍 Osmo Polyx-Oil Satin 3054 - Clear Finish - 2.5 Liters by Peggy Snow

I have been in the woodworking business for almost 40 years and have used almost every finishing material available. We were looking for a natural finish for a kitchen cabinet renovation project we are undertaking. I work with cherry wood that I cut and milled a few years ago. We didn't want additional colors and we didn't want a polyurethane top coat. I came across the YT video for this product and was completely amazed. I have never seen a coating that was so easy to apply and so forgiving! It's expensive, but a small amount goes a long way. I used a non-abrasive car polishing pad to take a small amount of the coating from the can and apply it to the wood. I used a twisting motion - almost like a French buffing technique - to apply a finish to the fibers. Then I worked the finish directly with the grain. I used a dry cloth to remove any remaining trim. 24 hours on coat #2. We are very happy with the results. The texture of natural cherry wood is so warm and natural looking. This is a very high quality product. My favorite wooden furniture product!
