Having used other hand blenders, I have noticed that some models are more prone to spilling the liquid they are blending all over the kitchen if you accidentally use the Raise blender head too far from liquid. In my experience, this blender is designed to minimize this problem. I think this is probably due to the deep bell shape of the blade cover. It contains a powerful motor and the instructions state that it should only be used for a minute with breaks between uses. If you're using this for cocktails or small batches of anything, it works perfectly. I definitely notice that even using mine for these "timed" purposes, the motor gets pretty hot. I use a different brand of blender for soups or things that take a long time to blend. This one is really great for the purposes mentioned, was very cheap compared to other models and although the main connections between the motor and the mixer shaft are plastic they close well and work well! I would also like to add that the blade construction of this product is very easy to assemble and very easy to keep clean. Typically, this type of blender has a rubber seal around the top of the rotating blade. In other mixers, this function is sometimes implemented in a complex way, which creates some wrinkles in the rubber. With these types of blender heads, it can be very frustrating to keep them really sparkling clean and free of old food residue, which can be gross. This model only has a tiny rubber pad around the top of the blade, eliminating the need to work around complicated rubber molds. Air cleaner. Better. safer.
