I've been a big fan of magnetic phone mounts for a while and have bought many of these from various manufacturers for use in cars and on my boat. I've used them for phones and also for things like TV remote controls. I bought this device to mount my tablet in my boat's galley so I can access recipes from my built-in NAS. I have three problems with this design.1. This bracket came loose when I tried to remove my tablet. See attached photo.2. There is a sticky surface where the tablet's steel plate attaches to the mount. This sticky surface is a dirt magnet, making the mount look dirty after a week. The same sticky surface made it very difficult to remove my tablet from the mount. It took quite a bit of force to bend my Samsung tablet as I pulled hard enough to free it. I originally chose this mount because it came in white, which matched the surface I was planning to mount it on. I figured the white color would be more cosmetically acceptable when the tablet isn't attached to it. The cosmetic benefit was outweighed by the messy appearance of the sticky surface. I guess I'm lucky the device broke and not my tablet.
