It's not a perfect camera. But on a budget

I bought this to replace my 8 year old D80. I'm a very picky person and this camera impressed me. Considers SONY A6000, D5500, D7100, D7200. And finally I decided on this camera. It's not a perfect camera. But in terms of budget, this is definitely a great value camera. I use it with my 1 year old Nikon 18-200mm VR II lens. At $496 I can't find any other camera that can compete with it. The A6000 is a very good mirrorless camera. I take that seriously. And I went to Bestbuy to check it out. What I like about the A6000 is its light weight and size. What I don't like is that when changing the length, it takes about 1/4 second to appear in the OLED viewfinder. And the A6000 doesn't have the articulating screen of the D5300, making family portraits that much easier. D5500, I don't see much difference from D5300. The D5500's touchscreen is nice, but not essential. The higher ISO up to 25600 is technically better than the D5300's 12800, but I doubt I would shoot at that high ISO. Other than that, I don't see much of a difference, and I know I'm not paying $200 more for a touchscreen and a higher ISO. The D7100 has an Expeed 3 processor and the D5300 has an Expeed 4 processor. Yes, it has better manual controls and features. But after owning a D80 for 8 years (with a top screen, two dials and better manual controls than the D5300) I have to admit that I'm not a professional photographer but an enthusiast with the ability to take photos with better points record . and take pictures in front of the camera. D7200, well, it has the same Expeed 4 processor while its manual controls are better. But at a $600 price difference, I'd ditch the extra manual controls and buy a D5300 to make my life easier. Already 2 years old but still supporting 24MP Crisp and clear production, relatively lightweight and with features to please entry-level enthusiasts. The only thing I don't really like is the GPS function, I wish it was a faster and more accurate blocking performance that doesn't require the A-GPS file to be updated within 14 days.
