Better than I expected!

Just received yesterday and started shooting today. My first camera other than an iPhone so I'm 100% new but wanted something I can grow with. Amazing photo quality! I will post photos from day one that I took today, all with automatic settings. I haven't changed any settings and I have to say I'm amazed at how well this camera controls shutter speed and aperture size. Autofocus works amazingly well on both and I don't see the need for another lens just yet. This kit comes with a software CD…

Possibly the best consumer DSLR on a budget

Can't beat the price without upgrading to an FX sensor. The pop-up screen is a truly unique feature that allows you to shoot from any angle or angle you dream of. The inclusion of Wi-Fi and GPS is also incredible. The camera creates its own hotspot that you can sync with your phone to take pictures/videos from it. The 24 MP DX sensor is more than enough. It can shoot up to ISO 2000 at night before I can see the graininess. Night shots are more than possible. This is funny. The inclusion of a…

I spent a few months looking for cameras that I thought would be.

I spent a few months looking for cameras that I thought would be an inexpensive upgrade for my Nikon D60. I must have tested many cameras in the shop but found the features of the D5300 to be a good match for what I do. I'm not a professional photographer at all and wouldn't even consider myself an enthusiast, but here are my observations from a layman. D60. You'll notice it especially in low light conditions. I mainly shoot in low light conditions, e.g. B. at dinners and restaurants where the…

It's not a perfect camera. But on a budget

I bought this to replace my 8 year old D80. I'm a very picky person and this camera impressed me. Considers SONY A6000, D5500, D7100, D7200. And finally I decided on this camera. It's not a perfect camera. But in terms of budget, this is definitely a great value camera. I use it with my 1 year old Nikon 18-200mm VR II lens. At $496 I can't find any other camera that can compete with it. The A6000 is a very good mirrorless camera. I take that seriously. And I went to Bestbuy to check it out…

D5300 for YouTube performance and comparison D3100

For those who love videos, look here - https://youtu.be/AsyukB3j4zk Read on for more details! Now I'm switching from a Nikon D3100 which I've been using for all my YouTube videos so far so I'll compare to that. I will also speak from a YouTuber's point of view. If you need a professional appraisal of your professional film or photography, you will find the best appraisal. It's amazing how much more you get with this camera considering it's as light as the D3100. Some of the additional features…

I love this camera!

I love this camera! I'm just a beginner who finally decided to take the plunge and get myself a DSLR. I was tossing and turning between this and the Canon T4i and finally settled on it after lots of research and reading lots of reviews. What I liked most was how small and portable it is, and reviews seem to point to better image quality compared to the Canon, no anti-aliasing filter, and better low-light performance. I liked that it has built-in WiFi and GPS. What I really struggled with the…
