Review on Household Essentials 17145-1 Retractable Clothesline Dryer - 5-Line, Indoor/Outdoor Use for Hanging Wet or Dry Laundry by Ryan Selpasoria

best clothesline!

I bought an old house in 1999 and have used the included retractable clothesline every week since. Even though I have a dryer, I hang clothes all year round, even in the snow when it's sunny. "Especially the sheets, cotton t-shirts, towels and the like. The clothesline was OLD when we moved in and I didn't expect it to last long. But after another 18 years of fairly regular use it finally broke and it was my fault, not a weakness in the product. I thought "they don't make things the way they used to" and I would never find one with the quality that this old thing had. So I did a search and to my pleasant surprise they STILL make the same product! It even matches perfectly with the studs on the other side of my house that held the old one in place. Anyway, it's been improved. I've only been using it for about 5 months, but so far it's just as durable and comfortable as the old one. I try to keep it on all the time since I use it weekly. Sometimes I let him go and roll over to the house when I'm trying to tidy up the yard. The springs are strong, the wires are really strong, hold a lot of wash, I like it. That. (I used a post to hold the end in the yard; I buried some "dead man's" anchors to keep the post secure when I have a lot of leaves in the wind!)

Pros
  • Same as all before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
