Ordered to replace

This is our third of these drawer lines. My wife's parents have been at it for about 30 years and are still going strong. New. not as much. I hope it's just bad luck and this new one will last. Cheap plastic parts break and springs lose tension over time. This third mounts easily in the same spot on our house, but the strings are now shorter and can't reach the bar. Now I need to dig a post sleeve in the ground and move it closer to our house.

Pros
  • Lasting test results
Cons
  • Discontinued

Tension problems with storage and organization

Bought about a year ago. I try never to write a review until I've used the product enough to know what I really think about it. So what can I tell you a year later: ADVANTAGES: *Easy to install and remove *Convenient for "storing" clotheslines if you live somewhere that doesn't have permanent clotheslines or you don't have space have for a clothesline. traditional clothesline with two poles. * solid construction - can't complain about breaking tension handles or plastic cracking (like others…

best clothesline!

I bought an old house in 1999 and have used the included retractable clothesline every week since. Even though I have a dryer, I hang clothes all year round, even in the snow when it's sunny. "Especially the sheets, cotton t-shirts, towels and the like. The clothesline was OLD when we moved in and I didn't expect it to last long. But after another 18 years of fairly regular use it finally broke and it was my fault, not a weakness in the product. I thought "they don't make things the way they…

Pros
  • Same as all before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Absolute shit! Weak locking mechanism!

Bought this item in May. on the 22nd and used it about 6 or 7 times until the 5th September when the cheap plastic locking mechanism broke rendering this product unusable. It only lasted three months! It must have broke on its own because I noticed it when I tried to use it again. The one I had previously made from another company that came with the house has served us well for many years. We moved in 1991 and it only broke when I accidentally cut the line. This cheap thing couldn't last more…

Good product, instructions on how to vacuum like a vacuum

Having recently bought a home in a good HOA that doesn't allow clothes lines, I bought it to in about a year to install and use in my garage warm climate. To say there were no instructions was an understatement. The instructions also state that screws to mount the receiver bracket are not included, so we carefully selected 2 types of screws to mount the bracket: bolted or non-bolted if required. The receiver mount is obviously designed for use on a mast. NO INSTRUCTIONS for wall or hard surface

Pros
  • Best in its niche
