Review on Household Essentials 17145-1 Retractable Clothesline Dryer - 5-Line, Indoor/Outdoor Use for Hanging Wet or Dry Laundry by Bobby Inappropriate

Bought this item in May. on the 22nd and used it about 6 or 7 times until the 5th September when the cheap plastic locking mechanism broke rendering this product unusable. It only lasted three months! It must have broke on its own because I noticed it when I tried to use it again. The one I had previously made from another company that came with the house has served us well for many years. We moved in 1991 and it only broke when I accidentally cut the line. This cheap thing couldn't last more than three months. I have attached photos to show where it is broken. It's like they did it to break quickly so people would buy more. I couldn't return it as they have a handy 30 day return policy. I would rather lay two sticks on the ground and thread a rope around them to make an impromptu clothesline than buy this product again. It's best to go to the old school if you can find it. Today I didn't see anything that was of decent quality. This company makes most of these and I don't trust their products. Update: I found a missing Sears clothesline that was made in the 80's or maybe early 90's and it's awesome. Very similar to my original, made with the same high quality and doesn't feel cheap. I'm sure it will last for many years.
