Review on Fingerless Compression Gloves For Arthritis Pain Relief - Rheumatoid Osteoarthritis & Carpal Tunnel, Dark Gray Medium Size by David Ocampo

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not a great fit, but not worth the return

I purchased these gloves at under $9, due to an amazon clippable coupon. They look the same as the many other overseas manufactured gloves you'll find here, just a few bucks cheaper. With that in mind, I figured buying them and them not working out is better than losing out on $20+Lightweight: 5 stars. They feel like a tech fabric glove. They don't impede my movements too much (a little more on my left hand, but because that glove isn't broken in yet. Don't need it for my left hand though).Comfort: 4 stars. The gloves are soft, but they way the fingers are cut is weird. The ring finger is cut larger than the index finger. All the fingers (besides the thumb) fan out towards the opening. This isn't as much on the index finger, which is the finger I need the compression the most. So on the rest of my hand (middle, ring, pinky) it's loose at the top-most knuckle, which isn't helpful. Makes them feel lower quality too -- could've purchased fingerless gloves for $5 at a physical store.Pain relief: 1 star. Sure, there is some slight compression, but no more than wearing basic fingerless gloves. My hand doesn't feel any warmer. The wrist is also pretty loose, at least on me, so while my hand feels somewhat stable, my wrist doesn't. I honestly get more relief from $7 variety pack of finger sleeves (ace bandage material) from RiteAid. Only problem with those is they pull/open at the seams easily -- another somewhat useless purchase.Overall, I give these 3 stars. They may work better for someone on the higher end of the size bucket they choose. Or with thicker fingers. But the quality isn't the best, especially with the way the fingers are cut. I honestly wouldn't purchase any of these types of gloves on amazon again, as they are all the same product, just with different brands. If anything, I'm going to see what my local Five Below has to offer.Final note: I purchased the gloves in medium. I am pretty sure the small size (which wasn't available to purchase anyway) would be too small. Not worth trying. And while compression would be higher, I don't want to cut off circulation.

Pros
  • Bought as A gift
Cons
  • Could require constant adjustments during wear
