This 1650 case is amazing. This is significant. It is suitable for everything I have inside and I have no doubt that everything is completely safe. I don't use the case for shipping or air travel, but I do use it to take ALL my gear to shoots and events. good for [70-200 f/2.8 IS] perfect when sitting upright. Pick N' Pluck foam is made up of two 4" sections with an additional stiffer 1" section covering the bottom and a 1 1/2 to 2" section that fits inside the lid to hold your to cover equipment when the case is closed. Each Pick N' Pluck section is 1/2" wide and the entire section is 4" long. If 4 inches (or 8) is too deep, you can take out the pieces of foam and (cut if necessary) lay them back horizontally to reduce the depth of the foam. The latches on the outside of the case are so strong, you can be sure it's sealed just by the sound of the latch closing. And seven times guaranteed with 7 latches and two metal padlock holes for added sealing and security. It's a solid case and I'd pay twice as much for it.
