Review on Enhanced Moog CC635 Coil Spring Set by Lucas Hale

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The car now sits about 2 inches higher than with the factory springs and handles better.

Moog CC635 Variable Rate Coil Spring My 2000 Camaro Z28 has hit rock bottom since I bought it in 2000. Loaded when travelling, it will slam to the ground if you hit a big bump in the road. I changed the shocks a few years ago, didn't help so thought it was the springs. He's been doing this since he's ridden about 15,000 miles, so the factory springs must have been weak to begin with. The car now has about 68,000 miles on the odometer. It took me a couple of hours to jack up the car, remove the tires, unhook the damper, lower the rear and swap out the springs. I didn't unhook the anti-roll bar, maybe that made things a little easier, but that's not really a problem if you have a small hydraulic jack in addition to the jack. These Moog springs were about 3 coils higher than the factory springs and the car now stands about 2 inches higher. And it drives better and doesn't pull on local speed bumps. If it falls off on my next trip I will revise this review.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model
