Fine gravel not sand
I didn't want to buy this scope without seeing it because the company calls it 'sand' and it was larger in the photos. So I bet it would look like the photos and I wasn't disappointed. This is a clean, fine gravel that I wanted to add to my regular aquarium gravel to give a more natural look and give the plants in the tank a nicer rooting medium. I didn't use the water cleaning solution that came with it, I just rinsed the gravel 4 or 5 times with running water until it ran clear. I added it to my tank with no cloudiness.
