I have tried regular Oral B toothbrush heads before and they have disappointed me. The bristle area on the brush heads was smaller and they tended to break (stop oscillating) very often - sometimes they managed to "pin" my lip when they did. But they seem to be of much better quality. The brush head finish is the same as the original Braun brush heads and seems to hold up just as well as the Braun brush heads. The lack of a logo and the use of a lighter shade of blue in the stubble area indicate that it's not brown. But that's the only way I can say it. At the same time I bought some Braun tips in case I need to throw them away so I've got tips for a few years now. At around 80 cents each, I don't feel bad about changing them when the bristles start to show signs of wear (the bristles go flat).
