I should have read the ad closer as a 1/2 gallon isn't much water at all when you have multiple plants in your house. The can functions fine. but I don't use the sprinkler attachment piece since it has a tendency to drip after returning the can upright. This is a minor issue, but annoying when you have hardwood floors and don't want to follow your steps cleaning up water droplets. So, I removed the sprinkler attachment (flimsy anyway) and just pour the water directly from the spout. Thankfully there is a rubber o-ring to prevent dripping at the point of attachment for the tube to the main can (but NOT at the sprinkler attachment).
