I joined my local senior hockey league last fall with my old CCM helmet and found that every game I went back to the bench with sweat on my forehead and in my eyes. I got a new Bauer helmet for Christmas (and a spot in the league) and started looking for a "skullcap" or "rag" or whatever to keep sweat from getting on my Face comes - when I came across it here at Revain. The price is not bad ($1.50 for a pack of 12), so I decided to give it a try. First just put one on my new helmet for the first game of the season - it's easy to put on but not too sticky so you can move/adjust it as needed. I have found that once you adjust the helmet where you want it, you put the helmet on for 10-15 minutes and then don't move. And it's thin enough to fit right in front of my helmet without adjustments or resizing. During my game I IMMEDIATELY felt better and had no sweat on my face at all! My local rink was hosting an "It's Great to Skate" event yesterday, so I put on my old helmet without one of them - just chasing the puck with my daughter in the corner of the rink and my eyes breaking out in a sweat Face. As soon as I got home I would put one on, put it on and watch TV for 10-15 minutes. I KNOW this will work. Now the question is how much play and exercise for my two children do I get from each of them? I don't expect them to last all season but will test and see how many games/skates I can get before I have to change them. Already planning to get more so both kids can use them for their hockey practices/games too!
