Just bought Vera Bradley to go in new patterns with painted medallions and falling flowers. I own a lot of VB bags including a few old style bags with contrasting stripes on the inside. In general, I'm not happy with the "new" one. Much of the charm has been lost due to the lack of contrasting detailing on both the outside and inside of the bag. I've even gotten used to the cheaper cotton/poly blend that VB is using now and the strong chemicals on the packaging when it arrives. However, I finally reached my limits with VB. New models have a different zipper. They no longer have the standard VB zippers with embossed tape. These new bags have a cheap plastic zipper that literally folds over. They are so slippery that I have a hard time grabbing and holding onto them to close the bag. I've never had a zipper issue on any VB bag I own and I own at least thirty different styles and vintage bags. I just give up The constant changes in VB products and declining quality are such a turn off. Anything made in China is cheap these days. No more uniqueness or quality. Simply what makes their shareholders more money. I will switch to another brand.
