Review on Tamron SP 35mm F/1.8 Di VC USD Lens for Nikon (Model F012) by Ada Niewiadomska ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

I bought a D7200 crop to replace the Nikkor 35 / 1.8 DX (by the way, I never sold it), the difference in quality is noticeable. Tamron has sharpness almost over the entire frame already open, while Nikon achieves it closer to f2.8. A stabilizer on a wide-angle fix is a rare thing, but not useless. Allows you to shoot at slower shutter speeds. Works well, especially considering that the small-pixel crop is extremely sensitive to the slightest movement. Assembly in general for five points! You take it in your hands and you understand that it is made very soundly. And in terms of size and weight, given the presence of a stabilizer, it’s also excellent! As for aberrations, they are on the open and completely disappear at f3.5-4.0. For any fast lens, they are a characteristic feature - this is not news at all. All of them are removed by default when processed in any modern software, and you don’t even need to press anything, because. there are corresponding profiles. For comparison, I took test photos with f1.8 aperture on the D7200, compare the difference. Left Nikkor 35 / 1.8 DX, right Tamron SP 35 / 1.8. On the screen, the corner of the frame, where HA is the most. Tamron has practically none. Of course, I understand that it is not entirely correct to compare the cheapest prime and a middle-class lens, but the difference is noticeable for the very money that you pay. In general, a decent lens, but a bit pricey. I bought it in the fall of 2022 for 42039 from the office. dealer, although the red price for him at that time should be a maximum of 35 By the way, my lens had a slight front focus. Now I drive it on Z5. The sharpness in the corners decreased, but accuracy increased. Focusing at a good fast level, but I can not call it very fast. The lens keeps up with running children (and I don’t need more) and the photos are obtained with very rich colors and high contrast.
