The only competition Holy Cow has to offer is Rock N Roll's own "Gold" lube. It's hard to say which is more effective overall, but I have to give Holy Cow a slight advantage in terms of lubricity, while Gold has a slight advantage in terms of cleanliness and durability. Holy Cow feels a little "wet" and a little slippery after installation. The Gold seems to run a little cleaner, running maybe 10% more before the gearing starts making noise that requires more lubrication. It's hard to go wrong with either one.
