This is the headset I've been waiting for! I have a bluetooth version of this headset and while it works great my phone needs to be close enough to play music. With this version of the 8GB MP3 music player, I can get rid of my phone and still listen to music for hours thanks to the 8GB built-in memory! If you are wondering how many songs you can store, that's around 2000. So far I have 950 songs on my device and the memory used is less than half. In my experience, music downloaded to the headset at an average of 350 KB/s. While it's certainly not lightning fast, it's perfectly acceptable at this price point. While this headset is waterproof, I have a Tayogo 8GB waterproof headset with swimming headphones, so I have never used bone conduction headphones when swimming. However, I know that you can sweat like crazy with them or get caught in the rain and they never let you down. While a "shuffle" function would be nice, you can at least skip forward and backward by pressing the "+" or "-" (volume) keys twice each. I really like how flexible these devices are. They endure many insults without complaint. One thing I noticed about this MP3 Bluetooth/8GB headset is that the volume is definitely louder than my regular Bluetooth device, which works great in noisy environments. I highly recommend this headset.
