Review on Maximize Space & Organization with the Prepac Double Wall Mounted Storage Cabinet in Black by Jared Bradford

Sturdy and sturdy

I bought a couple of these and they're pretty good - they seem solid and well made for a chipboard shelving system. My biggest complaint is that the bottom of the moveable shelves is raw chipboard and not painted the same color as the shelf, which is pretty ridiculous for something intended to be hung in a potentially high spot on a wall (marked 1 Star). It's also a bit odd that the movable shelves don't reach to the depth of the bays - there's about a 1/4 inch gap between the back edge of the shelf and the back wall. The parts in the box were terribly dusty and electrified. so I had to vacuum a couple of times to get it mostly clean before assembly. They are suitable for both sitting and hanging on the wall. A few tips from my building experience: The lower rails directly on the side walls. The back wall is slightly wider than the channel, otherwise you will have to force it in. Leaving the screws a few turns loose on each side, lower the stand, and then gently tighten the screws evenly on each side from below, and then In addition, you will be lighter and the protection will be less likely to become more into one of the fans bend than into the other. 2. Route the raw stitching before inserting the first bartack into the beam's center rail. Attach all the clips to the bracket under the top rail as if you were wall mounting it so the pieces line up. Then pull the peg down just far enough so that it does not touch the mating piece and place the nail under the peg. This will ensure the head of the nail doesn't get in the way when trying to mount the stand to the wall.

Pros
  • Some assembly required
Cons
  • Not sure
