I first bought these to put in gift bags at the Christmas party. In the end I had one left and I decided to use it. I had a Tile brand tracker on my keys that needed replacing. Tile brand trackers require the purchase of a new device when the battery dies. This was my second tile in 18 months and I felt it was such a ridiculous waste. I was glad the TrackR Pixel has a removable watch battery. I replaced my Tile with a TrackR Pixel. I wasn't sure what to expect as the reviews here vary wildly. TrackR was easy to set up through the app. Configuration was quick and easy. My TrackR worked great as a Bluetooth tracker and was reasonably priced. I decided to go ahead and get more TrackR Pixels for our remotes and tablets. In the presence of children, these items often get lost around the house. The TrackR sticks securely with the included 3M double-sided adhesive pad. They are also fully and easily removable. These Bluetooth TrackRs are perfect for this scenario and we no longer waste time searching for devices. I also decided to add another one to my work bag and some other items. The app has simple settings that offer you different behaviors depending on the tracking needs of a particular device. For example, I've set my TrackR work bag to notify me if I leave it or my phone behind. There are also options for the masses, but I haven't had to rely on that yet. The app also allows you to share your TrackRs with other accounts. It's good for other houses to find without me. I have 10 TrackRs set up on the same phone/phone account. I'm not sure if I just got lucky, but I had no trouble setting it up or using it. I replaced the battery on some of them. Replacing the battery is not a problem, even if it is connected to something else. The top twists to unlock and snaps off to reveal the battery. You may need something to add friction to your finger so you can rotate the top more easily. The battery life is the only thing that worries me. A couple of mine needed a battery change within 2-3 months. This made me nervous at first but I got an order to sell them and it turned out they could be stored for months causing the battery to die. I have replaced the batteries and they are still showing charge over 2 months later. I am very happy with these trackers and plan to stick with the TrackR brand. They offer excellent value for money and don't have to be thrown away every year like other overpriced brands. They also fully meet my needs. I think some reviewers don't fully understand the nature and use of Bluetooth low energy trackers and expect otherwise. I have full cell gps trackers for other situations. Although it's a lot more expensive, I think a lot of people need this type of tracker for their purposes and might want to do some research.
