Review on πŸŽ’ Thule Rail Waist Pack by Chad Aguirre

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great performance but inconveniences :-(

I was excited when I first read about the Thule Rail Hip Pack and ordered it as soon as it was released. That was me Itching to try the hip pack as a cooler solution to the standard mountain bike hydration pack First positives: The pack has a lot of great features and looks very well made I especially liked the magnetic hose closure This is probably the one best tube solution I've seen for a fanny pack It's very easy to put back on and the magnetic sleeve gives a much better grip than a single magnet found in most fanny packs The size was also for shorter rides with a good phone case and enough space for essentials Please see how the bladder is detached can ground. Not a major inconvenience, but I found it annoying. My main gripe with the backpack and the reason I sent it back was that it was just plain uncomfortable. It doesn't matter how I positioned it; the pouch was buried over the hips or thighs when the bladder was full. The hip belt is really not padded and is very noticeable when the pack is loaded. This is very bad. Otherwise, this is a good backpack for the hips.

Pros
  • One hand phone access, behind back phone access in padded pocket
Cons
  • Clarity
