Jelly opacity. Neither the opacity of tube gouache nor the transparency of watercolors. Not a good solid color, no interesting liquid variations. Just a striped color that's a bit dead. If you want portability, you'd better buy a small case and load your trays with gouache tubes. Or, if you don't need compactness, get a tray pallet. Or buy a good watercolor set. The $34 experiment failed. Spare yourself the same lesson.
