I used this in my Toyota Avalon. I used to use vent mounts but then they got hot or cold depending on the time of year which affected the performance and lifespan of the phone and phone battery. I found the driver's side vent next to the door with little or no air, but the small vent louvers and bracket of this holder were too big, so I modified it by cutting off part of the bracket on either side, making it small enough was fit. I really like the position in my car as it's away from other devices and vents. It fits a little loose due to my rework, but not to the point where it's an issue. The magnet allows you to use it horizontally or vertically. I use it for my iPhone X and my wife uses it for her iPhone 6. The magnets are away from the Qi charging area in the center and it still works well. Its small footprint makes it suitable for places where you couldn't place any other magnetic holder. I was a bit skeptical at first, but everything has been working fine for a few months. Putting a magnet on the back of the case interfered with charging, so I put a new large plate on the top end and the mount holds it pretty tight. The open center of the body allows for charging. Very nice mount.
