Review on HFS Steel Parallel Parallels Hardened: Ultimate Precision and Durability for Industrial Applications by Jennings Ford

They arrived in the mail today, much to my excitement. On the way to my desk, I gave the Amazon box a little shake and heard the parallels rattling a little. No big deal, I'm guessing the box was roughed up or something. After opening the red box from the manufacturer, everything went downhill. The set was broken in the box and the box itself never closed as the clasp doesn't fit at all. Also, the set was wrapped in pink wax paper, which is fine, but the whole group was literally dripping in grease. I understand that some oil is needed to prevent rusting during shipping but it was too much. I've seen cars with less grease on the bearings than what was sent to me. To separate the pairs for cleaning, I literally had to put them in a vise and pry them off with a hammerless hammer. I don't care if they are correct at the moment. It took me over an hour to fully unpack it. If you don't hate yourself or don't have a washing machine, this set isn't for you. I'm shocked.
