I was looking for an inexpensive 20-23 inch Full HD LED backlit LCD to replace my old LG 17 inch (secondary) LCD which complemented my (main) Samsung screen . I came across this screen while looking for a Dell monitor. Indeed a monitor recommended by a friend. I read good reviews and was intrigued by the VESA mount integrated into the base and the slim design. Now for the details of what I've found so far (have owned for about 2 weeks): Packaging: - neatly packaged in a slim box which already shows how thin the monitor is - drivers/utility CD included, power adapter, Manual quick setup and normal VGA cable installation: - The first shock was that I could NOT use the stand as a wall mount. The description is misleading; The stand can be used to mount to a wall mount, but you will still need to purchase additional compatible hardware! Not bad, but still very disappointing as I was looking forward to getting some desk space - the stand has to be unfolded before you can place the screen on the table; the instructions are pretty clear. It also seems thin, but it definitely does the trick. - Connecting to a PC and power supply shouldn't be a problem, or you shouldn't have a computer at all! Features: - The trick was to find the power button. He was probably at the base, but I couldn't find him! I found that there are some tiny protrusions on the base that are touch buttons for navigating and turning on the On Screen Display (OSD). Pretty cool, but not my personal favorite. - Right out of the box, the brightness is almost blinding! I had to scale it down from 90% to less than 30% to make it reasonably comparable to my Samsung. - OSC navigation is basically the same as all others; Several keys are used to move up/down, select and exit menu items. You can change a lot, but what's missing is quick one-click selection of presets like Text, Games, Videos, etc. (or maybe I just haven't found it yet) - bundled utility software is mediocre and I've removed it. maybe in half an hour. Same functionality (or even less) as the OSD, and working with Windows 7 I haven't used the split screen utility yet. - The picture quality is excellent, but I don't have a direct comparison with other LED screens; It's definitely brighter than my Samsung Syncmaster, but that's no surprise. I didn't find any dead pixels or other production issues. In summary I am very satisfied with the purchase and watching Blu-ray movies in Full HD on my PC is a great pleasure! It should be said more clearly that the stand is not a wall mount, but a wall mount can be attached to it. The stand is also a bit wobbly, but it's enough for such a fluorescent screen.
