Review on BenQ W1070 W1080ST HT1075 HT1085st Lamp Assembly with Genuine OEM Bulb - 5J.J7L05.001 5J.J9H05.001 by Jesus Gallagher

I ordered this lightbulb based on the price, good reviews and bad reviews and felt it was worth the risk. It arrived within a few days, came with the same items mentioned in other reviews and appeared to be of the same quality as the original lamp. Installation was easy, but the connector doesn't fit as easily as the original connector. It took me a heck of a lot of time to get the pins on the connector right, but about 30 minutes after removing and replacing the bulb, it was reconnected. The lamp seemed brighter than the OEM and worked great. After about 10 hours of use, I noticed a buzz that got louder and higher pitched. I thought it might be a fan issue so I tapped the projector very gently to see if anything was rattling, then almost immediately the entire screen flashed green before the light went out. When I opened the bulb cover, I noticed that the plug seemed to have come loose. I would assume the bulb is still working but I can't seem to reconnect it. It appears the pins are misaligned and no force or effort installed the connector properly (no visible damage or bent pins). I wrestled with this bulb for over an hour and can't seem to snap it back into place. I have no doubt that the good reviews are honest, but my installation experience was an absolute pain.
