Okay, I'll talk about the device first, and then ozone in general. In terms of what this device does, it produces ozone, plain and simple. The purpose is to eliminate odors wherever you use it. It has temporary settings that can be used, which is good. You do not want to and should not leave the ozone generator running indefinitely. Therefore you can easily select between 5 and 60 minutes of run time (8 levels in total) using the buttons on the front panel. For my own purposes, 15-20 minutes is usually more than enough. I used it in the bathroom where there was an odor we just couldn't get rid of. Something penetrated the previous owner and must have been on the underbody. I set it up in the middle of the room, set it for 15 minutes, then closed the door and left it alone. I didn't open the door for another 3 hours or so to allow the machine to do its job and disperse all the ozone. Result? no more smell Finally. It worked after so many sprays, enzymes and literally replaced everything in the bathroom except the sub floor. and he's still gone weeks later. So yes, ozone can effectively eliminate odors and this machine does just that. We have also used it to remove odors from the boxing gloves my wife uses for kickboxing. We placed them in a plastic container and used the included hose nozzle that came with this generator to safely eliminate odors. By using it in a container that we placed outside on our deck, we didn't have to worry about ozone floating in the air we breathed. And it worked! Used it again only for 15 minutes. So ozone really is for tough odor problems, especially odor problems that nothing else seems to solve. In my opinion, this should be your last resort. The machine makes noise during operation as it pushes air in and out, but it's not too loud or uncomfortable. And it will turn off accordingly when the time is up. Super easy to use. The smell of ozone is very, very recognizable. You can't be wrong. This is a certain "hardness" of the air, meaning it's still concentrated in the air you breathe. Ideally you shouldn't smell it strongly or ever return to where you used the car (to be on the safe side). As for the price, I think the price is very fair. The machine can cover a large area and move enough air, and the timing options allow you to run it longer if needed to have more space. Regarding ozone itself and safety, I definitely advise you to read about it for full knowledge BEFORE using any ozone generating device. There are issues like metal corrosion - something to watch out for if it's reused or overused - and the jury seems to be split on how *how* dangerous it is to humans (and animals). I, for one, prefer not to inhale it, and you definitely shouldn't use it as a conventional air purifier (by running it in a room with it, say, watching TV in the living room). ). But then again, you should do this research and learn more about what ozone is, what it does, and if you think it's harmful to your health.
