I've been using the Monker AMI BT streaming device for a few months now and I think it's a really great product. It basically emulates your phone connected to your car's sound system via a Bluetooth connection instead of a cable. When I select Media in my car and connect my phone, it says the external audio source is active. So I can't switch songs from the car head unit or the buttons on the steering wheel, but I can change the volume of the music. The volume also automatically decreases when you shift into R, and automatically increases to the previous volume setting when the gear is in N, D, or P. The setting is as gentle as possible. It only took a second for my iPhone to connect to the Moker Bluetooth connection, which shows up as a BT speaker on my phone. Using the car or disconnecting the BT. I have to connect it manually in BT settings on my phone. But let's say I go to the grocery store afterwards, buy a few things, go back to the car, turn on the media, and my phone connects automatically. In the car, my phone automatically connected to Monker. The BT connection was never interrupted while driving. My car is a 2012 Audi Q5.
