I think it's lucky if yours holds up right but I've ordered two at two different times and they both stay in place. Also, my husband keeps one in his truck and has been hanging 10 for the past 2 years. I think we're lucky. I have this because. My deflector doesn't fit in a jeep. I really didn't want to ruin the dash with the 3M tape mount, but I didn't have much of a choice with the mounts unless I made a suction cup mount for the windshield. And that's a big no from me. So I got one of these hoping it would stick and it does. It holds up great and easily holds the Note9 in the case. But I got it so far away that I have to turn my head to see my phone. So I ordered another one and placed it in the really dangerous spots, crossing my fingers, hoping it would stick. And it is. It only holds up with 1/2 of the 3M tape on the back to be honest, but it holds up and that's all I care about. If you look at my photo the top left bracket is tilted and bent and you can see the gaps. I couldn't take a picture of it with my phone because my phone is my camera. Just take my word for it, it works and if it falls I'll update my review.
